Instructions 
1. After cleaning and disinfecting the wound, remove the dressing from the packaging bag. 
2. Remove the release paper from the printing side to expose the adhesive surface. 
3. Apply the adhesive surface to the skin and smooth it from the middle to all around. 
4. Remove the back release material. 
5. In case of abrasion, burn and a small amount of exudate after operation, apply sterile gauze or absorption pad and anti-inflammatory drugs to the wound after cleaning the wound, and then apply the dressing. 
 
PU film adhesive dressing, also known as polyurethane film adhesive dressing, is a type of wound dressing used for the management of various types of wounds. It is composed of a thin, transparent polyurethane film that is coated with a medical-grade adhesive on one side. The adhesive side is applied directly to the wound or surrounding skin, while the film forms a protective barrier over the wound.
 
PU film adhesive dressings have several advantages and are commonly used in wound care for the following reasons:
 
Transparency: The transparent nature of the polyurethane film allows for easy monitoring of the wound without removing the dressing. Healthcare professionals can assess the healing progress and detect any signs of infection or complications.
 
Moisture balance: PU film dressings are permeable to water vapor and oxygen but impermeable to bacteria and other contaminants. This feature helps maintain an optimal moisture balance in the wound, promoting faster healing while reducing the risk of infection.
 
Non-stick properties: The adhesive used in PU film dressings is designed to be gentle on the skin and minimize trauma during dressing changes. This reduces pain and discomfort for the patient, particularly in wounds with fragile or sensitive skin.
 
Conformability: The flexible and stretchable nature of PU film dressings allows them to conform to the contours of the body, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit. This feature is particularly beneficial for wounds located on areas that move or bend, such as joints.
 
Protection: PU film adhesive dressings provide a protective barrier against external contaminants, such as dirt, water, and bacteria. This helps reduce the risk of infection and facilitates a clean wound environment, which is crucial for proper healing.
 
Matters needing attention 
1. Sterile, disposable. 
2. It is forbidden to use if the packing bag is damaged. 
3. It cannot replace measures such as suture, hemostasis and skin disinfection. 
4. It cannot be used for the fixation of arterial catheter. 
5. If the wound is infected or ulcerated, it is forbidden. If the wound is infected later, such as congestion, swelling, exudation and fever, the use shall be terminated or the replacement frequency shall be increased according to the doctor's diagnosis. 
6. The dressing of appropriate specification shall be selected and applied to the skin naturally. It shall not be pulled to cause tension and damage the skin. 
7. When removing the dressing, care should be taken not to pull off the catheter or other instruments under it.
